The Start of The Dog Days

Today Elise and I had to take our walk really, really early because it was already 81 degrees by 6:30 am. Today is going to be another yucky hot one!
Time now to tuck in and start the official dog days of summer hibernation!

Dogs On Thursday A Bloggerversary!

It is the 1st anniversary of Dogs On Thursday.
(this is not a picture of Elise, even though it looks a lot like her, it was found on my greeting card maker program.)
I started that blog group a year ago so that Elise could have more spotlight then the cats.
At the time she was feeling left out.
(LOL!, Now even with two chances a week to post about my cats Elise gets more attention. Oh maybe one day the balance will be restored.)

In celebration of the bloggerversary we are having a Contest over at DoT.
There is also the Dog Days Of Summer Secret Swap that has started today too!
To honor the bloggerversary Elise is going to tell you about her favorite poem book called "Little Dog Poems" by by Kristine O'Connell George and read a little one to you before she heads off to slumberland for her mid morning snooze.
